Open doors of Year 4 took place on June 9th.
After welcoming the parents, children have presented the project, the
artists and the artworks made during Activity 1.
Children and parents surfed the project’s website looking at all the
partners’ artworks and activities with the help of Patrizia. We had a
fantastic chat with our friends in Slovenia, Spain and Portugal and
children and parents were really impressed about it.
Then a student gave us a short demonstration about the use of Paint.
After that children sang short songs in all partners’ languages except
Romania (sorry) as we could not get a Romanian song.
Then parents and children went upstairs for the second part of the
event.
First children described the Comenius posters with a special eye on
Portugal and Sweden where the two meetings have been held this year.
They discovered many interesting information about “light” in Sweden and
how lights can affect people’s lives there and also made a booklet about
it.
Then the biggest moment arrived: the discovering of the two artworks
used for activity 2 in Year 4.
The two groups of children had worked in fact on two different piece of
art but never looked at them until that day. There was a lot of
suspense: can you imagine? The teachers Patrizia and Silvana worked very
hard the afternoon before in order to settle everything down.
After that, children, who worked very hard on European enlargement and
made beautiful posters about it, read their own thoughts about the big
European family and stuck them on the wall.
In the end children taught the parents many things: the use of Paint,
the Tangram, how to make graffiti, etc.
It was GREAT!
