St.
Martin's Day in Portugal
Today is St. Martin’s
day (11.11.04). Here, in Portugal, it’s the day when everybody eats chestnuts. But
they are roasted in a special way. The “Magusto” is a fire circle where we
put chestnuts to roast. The fire is made with the leaves of the pines and
it burns just a few minutes. Then we just need to pick up the delicious,
but black, chestnuts. Would you like some? Yammmy!!!
