Short description of how the Project has been carried out

1) How work has been organized either in class and at home (i.e. individually/in pair/ in small groups/all class)
The sts were given help material to write their letters. The material included questions and by answering them They got simpliest version of a letter . The videos, posters and power point presentations were made in small groups.
2) How the work has been shared among children
They were very eager and also learned to hand in their assignments in time. They asked every day whether they had got letters from Italy. They planned and carried out the videos and the power point presentations quite independently.
3) How resources have been used/managed

Where
(at home/at school):

Both at home and at school. When the video was filmed and when the pictures were taken for the power point presentations, they went around in town to places they were telling about: The market place on  May Day,  to the football fields when they had games, to the ruins of the St Mary Church etc.

How

It was spring so they went by bike or sometimes their parents drove them by car. The parents also let us use the video and digital cameras and computers to do the presentations. It’s important to notice that most of the work was done in their free time; this proves how much they enjoyed it. I only helped them when they had problems with English and we always went through all the material that was sent to Italy and discussed if someting should be left out or added.

PROBLEMS/BARRIERS The internet connections at school did not work, the connections were far too slow.
WAYS TO OVERCOME PROBLEMS/BARRIERS The teacher typed out the sts messages. Thus the purpose to increase their skills in sending e-mail wasn’t reached, but we couldn’t help it as the technology was against us.
