PROJECT
TITLE |
Without trees-
no life! |
|
Short
Summary |
After cleaning up the world a little bit in our previous project
'The funny garbage gallery' we want to make one 'worldwide'
green wire work on the Internet, symbolizing the way all people
are connected by means of trees. Using a green iron wire, we
create each a small 'drawing' of a tree together with one or
more other elements related with nature. Afterwards we link all
these wire works together. So we obtain a 'real' chain of life….
After all trees are essential for our health and the health of
the planet. |

Objectives |
|
Overall objectives |
Our ambition is to look for a universal language (drawings,
symbols, objects...) so that children all over the world can
communicate better with each other on the Internet... |
|
Specific
objectives |
We want to make one 'worldwide' green wire work on the Internet,
symbolizing the way all people are connected by means of trees.
After all trees are essential for our health and the health of
the planet. |
|
Study
skills |
Children 'assist' each other..., educators learn from their own
pupils, team-building... These are elements of a new teaching
and learning strategy we have to integrate in our school life... |
|
Social
skills |
Together we create a 'real' world wide chain of life. |

|
Short description of how the Project has been
carried out
|
1) How
work has been organized either in class and at home (i.e.
individually/in pair/ in small groups/all class)
In class:
using a green iron wire, we create each a small 'drawing' of a
tree together with one or more other elements related with
nature. Afterwards we link all these wire works together. So we
obtain a 'real' chain of life…. We work individually but
assemble all the wireworks from all over the world together. (*)
2) How
the work has been shared among children
(*)
3) How resources have been used/managed |

How |
We make photo’s/pictures of the wireworks with a
digital camera/scanner.
The results are placed on the Internet. Discussion-> video
conferencing, e-mail.
We create postcards with the ‘chain of life’. You can print them
and send them all over the world. (message!)
We make a souvenir for the participants. (We send them by mail.) |
