Summary
Project
“Small and Big Moon” is based on distance reading in primary school.
All the materials can be found at this address but they are all in
Slovene language.
With this
project we wanted to encourage reading and literate education among
young pupils in primary school in Slovenia. Through specially chosen
book, with the use of ICT (web based tools and activities),
monitoring and guided by teachers and mentors, students (at six
schools in Slovenia) experienced and exchanged their opinions about
the mentioned book (descriptions, essays, illustrations, poems,
interactive exercises, chats in real time), prepared written and
drawn products, related to the book.

Project
objectives were to get literary-aesthetic experience of a text
(book), to motivate students to read, to enrich vocabulary and to
use their own imagination while creating their own essays with the
help of different media and the use of ICT. Last but not least we
wanted and succeeded to meet the author of the book in live at the
end of the project. |
