The Department is inserted in one of the largest Universities of Europe (150.000 students) and its staff comprises 55 between professors and senior researchers and 30 persons between researchers, phd students, post-doc students, and research- assistants. The research work in which the Department has been involved in the past 15 years concerns learning-instruction processes in specific educational contexts. The research team has also considerable expertise both in the analysis and evaluation of new technologies in educational environments and in the design and the development of multimedia environment and supports. The Department is involved in many research projects on training and communication processes in educational and work contexts on the basis of both public and private fundings.
