The European Schools Project is the aegis for many collaborative
projects between schools and school support institutions, like teacher education
institutes. ESP supports teachers and pupils in participating in the world of
Internet-based Computer Mediated Communications and in using Internet's
Information Resources to improve learning and teaching. ESP is aiming at
building a support system for schools, enabling them to explore the various
possibilities Internet offers for improving the processes of learning and
teaching.
European schoolnet -

European Schoolnet is an international partnership of more than
20 European Ministries of Education developing learning for schools, teachers
and pupils across Europe. Being an educational portal for schools in Europe,
eSchoolnet provides resources, news, practice examples and collaboration
opportunities for teachers.
Virtual School -

The Virtual School is part of the European Schoolnet. It
encourages collaboration between schools in Europe and supports the use of
information and communications technology (ICT) in schools, to make cooperation
between schools in Europe easier. The Virtual School, with more than 19
subject-related departments, is “for European teachers by European teachers”,
and is a virtual meeting place for teachers to discuss and exchange material and
experience.
eSchola -

eSchola is about learning online from each other, working
together and celebrating success using new technologies in Europe's classrooms.
National, regional and web-based events occur each year under the eSchola
initiative.
My Europe Schools Network –

The myEUROPE Schools Network is a group of more than 1,250
schools which form a community of teachers who work for the development and the
enhancement of the common European identity. Belonging to this network enables
you to find partners, get help and stimulation and set up European projects.
Comenius Space -

Comenius Space is a service offered by the European Schoolnet in
cooperation with the European Commission. It supports the use of ICT tools by
COMENIUS actors, provides services to COMENIUS actors to support their
co-operation activities, promotes interactivity between schools in Europe,
facilitates dissemination of projects experiences and encourages as many users
as possible to join COMENIUS.

COMENIUS supports school partnerships, projects for the training of school
education staff, and school education networks. It aims to enhance the quality
of teaching, strengthen its European dimension and promote language learning and
mobility.

PartBase is a Socrates partner finding tool for schools’ European
projects. It is an easy-to-use tool, designed primarily for SOCRATES (Comenius 1
& Grundtvig 2), where you can register and search for partners in the European
countries.
SLAM - School Libraries as MultiMedia Centres

The SLAM (School Libraries as MultiMedia centres) project is designed to develop
the use of school libraries as multimedia resource centres encouraging and
developing open learning within the partner organisations. In the initial stages,
the project will work to integrate new technology and the new media into the
educational process at each site. This will require the training of teaching
staff and educational managers to raise awareness and to promote change.
Multimedia and information and communications technologies permit the
introduction of new modes of open learning and these will be exploited in the
teacher INSET programme.
