Bye-bye, summer!

Description of project:
Students will observe changes that take place in the Nature during the Autumn. They will study migrating birds and fruits of plants and learn to identify them in nature. Participants will also learn how to find information on nature and species in the Internet. Another area or topic will be traditions, sayings and beliefs of local nationalities from ancient times concerning the Nature and seasons. All results of observations will instantly appear in the web in form of maps or tables and can be followed by anyone interested.

Duration:
30th September – 15th December 2002

12-14 (+/- 1-2)

Activities:
Hallo and introduction to everybody;
Description of geographical surrounding, teamwork organisation;
Descriptions of the indicator species;
Observations (field trips, weather monitoring);
Collecting stories, pictures and sound about autumn in their own country
Creation of project web-page with maps, data, stories, pictures and sounds where possible;

Outcomes:
Website of observation results and additional activities what is accessible through web and can be used by anyone interested;

Project language(s):
English, some activities could be done in any language
