________ Activities __

The activities to be developed during the 3 years of the project comprise, among others, the following:
  • Choosing the areas they are going to work on,
  • Each school chooses the expressions they consider to be more important in the areas (situations) they are going to work.
  • Pupils send the expressions chosen to each others by email as well as to the common website of the project so that they can be introduced in a database, especially created to fulfil this aim at the ECOLE website.
  • Expressions are inserted in the database (ECOLE website)
  • With the expressions chosen they create small dialogues
  • The dialogues created are translated from the pupils' mother tongues into English.
  • Dialogues in English and in the other languages are recorded,
  • Each school will be responsible for illustrating with drawings, photos, comics, the areas they are working on,
  • Webpages with the recorded dialogues are created
  • The database will be updated with all the written and recorded expressions/dialogues in English and in all the other languages,
  • Parallel to the creation of the database and the recording of the dialogues pupils will create / imagine a story using comics / drawings in which they illustrate the dialogue and which will be the visual support for the audio recordings,
  • Pupils choose songs, proverbs (sayings) and traditional tales from their own countries
  • These will be exchanged between the participating schools both in English and in the different languages of the countries involved in the project,
  • Different versions from the same tales, songs, proverbs in the different countries will be made available on the Internet and in booklets,
  • Specific tales from the countries involved will be introduced to the other partners,
  • Songs, proverbs and traditional tales will be illustrated with drawings and pictures made by the pupils,
  • Songs, proverbs and traditional tales will be put on the Website of the project both in the pupils' mother tongue and in English,
  • Songs will be recorded in the original version and in English as well,
  • Traditional games from the different countries /regions will be described and shown to the other partners,
    · Recording of the traditional games,
  • Different versions from the same traditional games in the different countries will be recorded and described,
  • Specific traditional games will be introduced to the other partners,
  • A contest in each of the participating schools will be organised in which traditional games from all the countries participating in the project will be played.
  • Exhibitions in each of the schools involved in the project.

As far as transnational mobility activities for staff and pupils are concerned we are planning to have during the three years duration of the project the following activities: project meetings, both with teachers and pupils; teachers' exchanges; teachers' study visits; headmasters' study visits and assistant teachers in each of the schools.
